Warrior PVP Guide
From the outside the warrior may seem like the perfect
PVP class because of its strenght, agility, stamina and
damage dealing abilities. But there is a definite
challenge to playing a warrior in world of warcraft PVP.
The problem is that the warriors primary effectiveness
is only melee fighting and your enemies know this.
In world of warcraft PVP, the warriors foes simply keep
their distance and use spell’s and long range attack’s
to defeat the warrior.
So in a nut shell, the warriors big challenge in world
of warcraft PVP is just getting into battle and being
able to stay there. As a warrior in PVP you will need
to use Charge to get yourself into melee range and then
use Intercept and Hamstring to keep your enemies close
by where you can do the most damage.
Once you have gotten into melee range, the warriors PVP
debuff of 50% less healing for the warriors targeted foe
plus the Overpower debuff against enemy healers of an
additional 50% puts a double whammy on its enemy’s right
from the start. The warrior will deliver what is called
retribution damge which means the warriors damage will
increase with the more damage that the warrior receives.
In world of warcraft PVP and PVE I recommend using Battle
Shout pretty much at all times with one exception. Being
in arena PVP, the warrior will find that the healing buff
of Commanding Shout out weights the damage bonus of Battle
shout most of the time, and it also depends on the set-up
of your group.
What stances to use in PVP will change with the situation
but for the most part you will want to be in Battle Stance
90% of the time. The PVP Bible has the complete breakdown
of all of these strategies and more, I highly recommend it
if you are a diehard PVP player or even if your just getting
into world of warcraft PVP.
While many warriors tend to take on the role of tank for
their group in PVE, this is not the case so much in PVP.
Rather than tanking to absorb most of the enemies damage
in PVE, the PVP warrior will be playing against real live
people who will not automatically focus their attacks on
