Priest’s, the holy leader’s of the multiple faiths of
all the land’s in the World of Warcraft. They are the
great speaker’s of Azeroth. The one’s offering the
spiritual guidance needed by the troubled and poor
commoner’s of the various faiths of the World of Warcraft.
The Forsaken are lead by the undead priest’s which have
over several centuries warped and darkened the original
followings and spirit of the Holy Light.
Their depressed souls somehow feel more at peace believing
the distorted version of the Holy Light.
In the land of Khuz Modan there is a more enlightened and
positive sect guided by the messages preached by the Dwarven
priest’s.

Priest’s are the primary healer’s and buffer’s of
the world of Azeroth able to heal and increase their
characteristics upon themselves , other’s and even group’s
of fellow player’s using Holy Magic. Although a Priests’
armor is limited to cloth only their defensive discipline
magic more than makes up for their lack of melee skills.
Priest’s can even use their discipline magic to
inspire the rest of their party to fight more boldly
and bravely using power word ” Inner fire ” just one
of many party modifying power word’s.
But don’t be fooled , Priest’s don’t just cower in
the corner while the others do all the offensive damage.
Using Shadow Magic spells like “Psychic Scream” and
“Mind Blast” or Shadow word Pain will cause plenty of
damage to the Priest’s enemies.

The Priest in World of Warcraft may appear to be a
skinny almost geeky character that is only good for
helping out the other player’s in the party.
Well at certain levels this may seem true. The first
few levels are quite tedious for the priest but after
level 7 or so you’ll find that things get a little easier.
But not for long. Fortunately the Priest is generally
easy to level and can level up pretty quick despite not
being the most formidable soloing class. A very valuable
class to have in any group, the Priest can drain mana
and health from their foe’s and transfer it to the
members of their party. In short the Priest has it’s
benefits and draw backs but once the higher levels are
reached, watch out cause the power of a high level
Priest is just awesome.

In the original World of Warcraft you race selection was
limited to draenei, dwarf, human or night elf for Alliance
and blood elf, troll or undead for Horde.
With the Cataclysm expansion you will also be able to
play gnomes and taurens as priests and both new races,
goblins and worgen.

The Cataclysm expansion pack opens up many beneficial doors to the
Priest class as the Priest up until now was generaly very weak in
stature with limited defensive attributes. The gnome, goblin, worgen
and tauren races can be used as Priest with the cataclysm expansion
but I think that the worgen and tauren will be the most beneficial
by adding some physical strenght to the world of warcraft Priest.

Many gamers say that the world of warcraft Priest is the hardest
character class to solo with. This may be true if you don’t build
your priest correctly. If you are playing world of warcraft just
for fun as a priest go ahead and play in a group as a discipline
or holy priest, but if your a serious gamer and plan on playing
solo you want to play a Shadow Priest.
At first you will want to play with a group to get through the
first 7 levels or so, but then you should be able to solo most
of the time as a Shadow Priest if you choose to.
